Winter League Information - 2008 Season Summary

The Winter League Christmas Party was held at 6:00 PM at The Savannah on Tuesday, December 2nd.
We had a great meal and a great time!

Monday, Nov. 24 We had a nice turnout at The Savannah. Our last official Monday Night.

Monday, Nov. 17 A nice night of fun and fellowship at The Savannah . . .

Monday, Nov. 10 2:40 PM No golf, the weather was bad. We had six or seven show up at The Savannah for a nice dinner.

Monday, Nov. 3 2:50 PM Nine golfers showed up on a beautiful night that turned bad with lightning and rain. We also had nine at The Savannah for food, drinks and lot's of jokes!

Monday, October 27 3:45 PM No golf tonight . . . cold weather and the course was closed. Six guys showed up at the Savannah and we solved the world's problems.

Monday, October 20 4:00 PM We had 12 players and a nice group at The Savannah. There were three skins worth $20.00, one each for Dan Galmarini, Tom Connelly and (I forget). It was a great night!

Monday, October 13 4:15 PM We had 12 players and a nice group at The Savannah. There were no skins and Competition Chairperson Dave Martens donated the enitre pot to the Winter League kitty. That donation along with some shrewd investments by the Winter League President, are making it look like we will have a nice Winter League Banquet after all!

Monday, October 6 4:15 PM We had 6 players and a few extras at The Savannah. There were a bunch of bad scores on a nice night but everyone had fun.

Monday, September 29 4:30 PM There were about 12 players and a nice group at The Savannah. A good Winter League night. Steve Famiano took all the skin money!

Monday, September 22 4:30 PM I heard through the grapevine that there was a nice turnout, twelve guys or so, and fun afterwards at the Savannah.

Monday, September 15 4:30 PM Six golfers (two threesomes) played the front nine on the rather wet Hilliard Lakes Golf Course with greens that were extremely slow. There were four skins won by Jim Mazzella (2), Tom Weaver and John Duda. Seven enjoyed dinner in the back room at Savannah.

Monday, September 8 5:15 PM The annual match between St. Bernadette and St. Angela will take place tonight. The tees (both front nine and back nine) are reserved for this match from 4:30 PM to about 5:15. Winter league golfers will have to go off by 4:15 PM or after 5:15 PM.

Monday, September 1 4:30 PM No Winter League golf because of Labor Day. Have a nice holiday!

Monday, August 25 4:30 PM I haven't had time to contact the course or the Savannah to tell them we're coming. I will try to do that on Monday. If you want to be on our email list, send me an email. (See below). I can't play tonight. My daughter has her first field hockey game. Dave.
