Tom Connelly organized our second annual "Winter League Wives Night" at The Savannah.
The gathering was very successful, we had 38 people and we also celebrated
the retirement of long time Winter League Member John Duda.
Lot's of fun!!!

We had 8 golfers and 8 guys at The Savannah.
There were four (4) skins at $10 each.
Jim Sweeney had 2, Dan O'Grady and Mike Howell had 1 each.
Amid some controversy, our investment club "stood pat".

November 29, 2010. One of the nicest nights of the year!

Our eight players on this Winter League night were John Sullivan, Jim Davis,
Mike Howell, Dave Michael, Jim Connelly, Jim Sweeney, Dan O'Grady and Andy Trutza.

It was rainy and gloomy all morning and then turned nice at about 1:15 PM.
It was actually warm outside and the sun came out while we played.
We had 7 golfers and 8 guys at The Savannah.
There were five (5) skins at $7 each.
Dan O'Grady had 1, Dave Martens and Andty Trutza had 2 each.
All were generous by kicking back a portion of their winnings to the Kitty.
Our investment club finished strong to end the season with a nice net gain!

It was another great night. We had 12 golfers and 13 guys at The Savannah.
There were two (2) skins at $30 each.
Jeff Burke (#3) and Jim Sweeney (#7) were the winners.
Jim donated more than half of his winnings back to our Kitty.
The investment club made what seemed to be a good investment until the first play occurred.
From then on, it was all down hill!

The most important note for this night is that Jim Sweeney shot a 33,
his personal all time best and also a Winter League all time low score.
Another highlight of this evening was that nobody made a mistake on their investment club decision!
We had 14 golfers and 12 came to The Savannah afterwards.
There were three (3) skins at $23 each.
Jim Sweeney (#2), Don Dragony (#6 - a natural eagle!) and Jay Geib (#9) were the winners.
Jim donated almost all of his winnings back to our Kitty.
It was a great night!

We had 13 golfers and 15 at The Savannah.
There were five (5) skins. Joe "Gave His Winnings Back to the Kitty" Sweeney had one on #12.
Other skins were won by Tom Connelly (#14), Tom Weaver (#15 & #17) and Dan O'Grady (#18).
All were generous on this cool night and and the investment club made wise choice.

There were three (3) skins. Dan Galmarini had a natural eagle (#1),
Jim Connelly and Jay Geib had net eagles (on #5 and #8 respectively).
These guys were very generous to the kitty, as was everyone else,
and the investment club made another good decision.

Hilliard Lakes was closed but a small group played at Bob-O-Link.
I'm not sure of the size of the gathering at The Savannah but
collectively they made a wise decision for
our investment club and we had a modest gain.
Skins were won by John Sullivan and Jim Davis.
Acting President Jim Sweeney reported to me that these two fine
gentlemen were both very generous to our kitty. Thanks!

We had 10 golfers and about the same at The Savannah.
Tom Connelly didn't play so others had a chance to win a skin.
Tom Weaver and Don Dragony won three skins between them.
Our investment club made a poor decision and the kitty took a hit.

We had 10 golfers and 11 at The Savannah.
There were three (3) skins. Mike Howell had one (#1) and Tom Connelly had two (#7 & #8).
Both guys kicked back nicely to the Kitty.
Other members were generous as well and the investment club,
led by analysts Dan O'Grady and Dave Michael,
made a wise decision.

We had 11 golfers and 13 at The Savannah.
Tom Connelly won the only skin again! ($55). We had great food and a great time.
And get this . . . several of our members were invited to dance by other patrons!
Generosity to the kitty abounds and our investment club
pulled back to even (less certain transaction fees).

Tom Connelly won the only skin ($65) and was very generous to the Kitty.
Our investment club made a poor decision but we only had a small net loss.

It was a good night for the Summer League and for the Winter League.
A group of Summer League teams competed against the St. Angela League guys
and we won the yearly battle. St. Bernadette leads the all time series 7-4.
The Winter League had seven players.
John Duda, Dave Martens and Mike Howell (2) won skins and each donated a portion back to the Kitty.
Others were generous as well. Thanks to All!

On the first night of Winter League Play, we had 10 guys show up for
golf and then for food and spirits at The Savannah.
The weather was great and everyone had fun.
There were three skins won by Don Dragony, Steve Famiano and Mike Howell
who all were kind enough to donate a portion of their winnings back to the kitty.
