The Winter League Christmas Party was held at 6:00 PM
at The Ironwood Cafe on Monday, December 7th.
We had a great meal and a great time!

| Monday, December 7 | 2:15 PM | There were 14 golfers at Bob-O-Link. Jeff Burke won closest to the pin and Dan Galmarini won the only skin. Dan generously gave most of his winnings to the Investment Club who squandered their good fortune with a bad pick. Our banquet was great . . . we had a nice family style meal and lots of fun as usual. Special thanks to Dave Martens, Jim Sweeney and Glen Peterson for running the winter league in my absence! |

| Monday, November 23 | 2:30 PM | Report filed by acting president, Dave Martens: Hello everyone. I want to take my hat off to Glen Peterson who played nine holes at Bob o Link and of course won all the skins and closest to the pin and gave all his winnings to the league !! The investment club met and wisely decided not to invest, the line was new England giving 7. Final score NE 20 Bills 13. The banquet will be held December 7 on Monday night at the Ironwood. If you have received this email, you are cordially invited to attend our Holiday Feast. Please respond back to me by Sunday. Don't make me have to call you ! Also some members will be golfing at Hilliard Lakes tomorrow at 130-200 if anyone is interested. Dave Michael update. He is home resting well. Please send him some jokes. That's all I got. |

| Monday, November 9 | 2:30 PM | The good Monday weather continued and there were 14 golfers. A few extras showed up at the Ironwood and we had a great time. Glen Peterson won closest to the pin on Number 15 and threw all of his winnings back into the kitty. Thanks Glen! There was only one skin for the night . . . by Dan O'Grady. Dan was also very generous! The investment club went down in flames with another lopsided (but incorrect) vote. |
| Monday, November 2 | 2:45 PM | Report filed by acting president, Dave Martens: On another Glorious day 20 golfers played the Hilliard Lakes West course, which was in splendid shape. The closest to the pin was Andy Trutza (picture attached)! There were 3 skins, 1 by Jim Butts and 2 by John "Mr. Skin" Sullivan. All were generous to the kitty. I believe the low score was by Dan O'Grady with a 35. We had 17 guys adjourn to the Ironwood for the investment club. The overwhelming vote went for the wrong team (which was up by 17 with 7 minutes left). Oh well. The forecast for Monday is for sun and 60 degrees. See you all there. |

November 2, 2015. It doesn't get any better than this. Tom Weaver, Joe Sweeney, Tary Slabaugh, Nassim Lynch, Glen Peterson, Mike Eyerman, Jim Butts, John Sullivan, Mary Jo Sweeney's first husband and Dave Martens are ready for another great Winter League round! |

| Monday, October 26 | 3:45 PM | It was a nice night (little chilly) but the course was in great shape. The leaves are starting to cause some problems but there were a lot of great scores. We had 15 golfers and 18 guys at The Ironwood Cafe after golf. Dave Martens had his all time best . . . a 38 and Dave Skok shot 2 under par 34. Emeritus Jim Sweeney won closest to the pin and gave his winnings to the kitty. There was only one skin won by Philanthropist Dan Galmarini who made the single biggest charitable donation ever to our kitty. Dave Martens celebrated his great night by buying a drink for the entire group. NOTE: After lively debate and a tie vote, our investment club made a wise choice! ALSO: Winter League President Dave Michael temporarily turned over his duties and executive authority to Dave Martens (by virtue of his brain) to be assisted by Jim Sweeney (by virtue of his heart) and Glen Peterson (by virtue of his courage). |
| Monday, October 19 | 4:00 PM | We had 13 golfers and 15 guys at The Ironwood Cafe after golf. Dave Skok won closest to the pin and gave his winnings to the kitty. There were three skins, one each by Dan O'Grady, Dave Skok and Jeff Burke. Thanks for kicking back a little to the kitty guys! NOTE: Our investment club made a lopsided choice that was all wrong! Sometimes that happens. |

| Monday, October 12 | 4:00 PM | We had 14 golfers (and one guest) on another great night. We had also had 15 guys at The Ironwood Cafe after golf. Welcome back Joe Sweeney! Joe joined us for golf, won the closest to the pin prize, and donated his winnings back to the kitty. Mike Brezina had the low gross score with a 37. There were three skins. One for Dan O'Grady, one for Glen Peterson and one for John Sullivan. All three were very generous. (John Sullivan is not only generous . . . he's good. Seems like he wins every week!) Thanks Guys! NOTE: One of our members gave a powerful and moving speech which was partially responsible for our profitable investment. |
| Monday, October 5 | 4:15 PM | We had 15 golfers on a perfect night. It was actually a little "warm" out there! We had 17 guys at The Ironwood Cafe after golf. Nobody won closest to the pin so that money went into the kitty. There were three skins. One for Jeff "I'm Always in the Skin Game" Burke and two for John Sullivan. Both of these guys showed their true winter league spirit by donating a good portion back to our kitty. Thanks Guys! NOTE: There were no "speeches" given on this night and the investment club won after a lopsided and correct vote. |
| Monday, September 28 | 4:15 PM | There were 18 guys who played golf and we had about 16 guys at The Ironwood Cafe after golf. John McCarthy won closest to the pin on #5 and threw all of his winnings back into the kitty. Dave Martens had the ONLY skin after a "soft" chip-in for birdie on #9 and he was also VERY generous. Thanks Guys! Dan "The Tout" O'Grady had the low gross score with a smooth, one under par 35! NOTE: The investment club won out on a near unamimous pick. "Ay Ay Ron" was fantastic! All in all it was a great night! |
| Monday, September 21 | 3:45 PM | Report filed by Dave Martens: Well on another beautiful night we had 12 golfers on the course and 10 members enjoying an investment club meeting. On the golf side, there were 5 skins, 2 for Dave Martens, 1 for Jim Butts, 1 for Glen Peterson and 1 for Tom Weaver worth $10 apiece. There were no winners for closest to the pin. On the investment side, our overwhelming choice did not pan out too well. Once again all winners were generous to the kitty. Just a reminder to all who attend the meeting: keep track of your expenses so that we do not come up short. |

There were three skins, one by John Sullivan and two by Jim Scott. Nobody won the closest to the pin award so that money went into the kitty along with generous donations by John and Jim. Thanks to all! NOTE: The investment club made two investments . . . one was profitable and one not so much. We break even on the investments but will be liable for the brokerage fees. |

There were 21 guys who played the front nine at Hilliard Lakes on one of our hottest Monday nights.
Almost everyone (and a few non-golfers) showed up at The Ironwood Cafe after golf.
There were three skins, one by Mark DeCoster and two by John "One Putt" Sullivan.
Both of these fine gentlemen helped our Winter League Kitty with a good donation,
as did closest to the pin winner Jeff Burke.
Dan Galmarini had the low gross score with a 37. Nice shooting.
I think it was a record turnout for the Winter League.
Thanks to all! A great start to our 2015 Winter League season!
