Winter League Information - 2022 Season Summary

Monday, November 21 2:00 PM Sunset is at 5:03 PM. Need to decide where we will play.

Monday, November 14 2:00 PM There was no golf because of weather. Five Winter League stalwarts met at The Ironwood anyway! These five esteemed members carried on our time honored traditions of fellowship! They also had a few beers, ate a good meal and picked a winner for the investment Club!

Monday, November 7 2:15 PM We had nine golfers and three other league members who joined us at The Ironwood. Joe Sweeney had closest to the pin on #15. There was one skin earned by "Glug" Peterson on #14. Congratulations to the winners. In other news, the Investment Club is back in the pink! LOL! We finally picked a winner! Hilliard Lakes may be closing for the season. Future golf will be somewhere else. Stay tuned!

Monday, October 31 3:00 PM I heard that eight guys played golf. The Investment Club decided to lay low.

Monday, October 24 3:15 PM I did not receive a detailed golf report, but the Investment Club tanked again!

Monday, October 17 3:30 PM The course was closed due to inclement weather. Nobody played golf, but four guys went to the Ironwood. I received a suspicious phone call from an attendee who shall remain nameless. The group decided against any Investment Club activities.

Monday, October 10 3:45 PM We had eleven golfers and three other league members who joined us at The Ironwood. Mike Brezina had closest to the pin on #5. There were three skins, two for Dan O'Grady and one for Glen "Glug" Peterson. Congratulations to Dan O'Grady for his round of 34. Great playing, Dan! In other news, the Investment Club went down again! Double Ouch!!! Go Tribe!!!!!

Monday, October 3 4:00 PM We had fourteen golfers and four other league members who joined us at The Ironwood. Dan O'Grady had closest to the pin on #15. There were two skins by the Sweeney brothers. Jim on #17 and Joe on #18. (In other words, all prize winners were red headed stepchildren, I mean Irishmen). A lopsided vote of our members resulted in a BAD investment. Ouch!!!

Monday, September 26 4:00 PM We had eleven players and several other league members who joined us at The Ironwood. Once again, there was no winner for closest to the pin. We had two skins, one each for Dan O'Grady and Mike Brezina. We didn't have much debate on our investment and made a bad choice anyway. Nuts!!!! One of our members had a "Senior Moment". Seems to be doing fine now.

Monday, September 19 4:00 PM We had thirteen players and several other league members who joined us at The Ironwood. Once again, there was no winner for closest to the pin. We had three skins, one each for Rich Frindt, Jim Butts and Glen Peterson. After lively debate we made two investments . . . one good, one bad.

Monday, September 12 3:30 PM We had nine golfers on a great night. Nobody hit the green on #5. There were four skins, two for Rich Below and one each by Mike Howell and Jim Sweeney. After dinner we left and the second shift came in . . . Our fellow league members who retained the Bernadette Cup in a tie with St. Angela. The Investment Club tanked on our first play of the year!

Monday, September 5 No Winter League Golf Have a fun, happy and restful holiday!

Monday, August 29 4:30 PM Our first night of Winter League Golf was great! The weather was beautiful and we had fourteen guys who showed up to play. Brian Cook had closest to the pin on Number 15. There were four skins, two for Rich Frindt, one for Rich Below and one for Brian Cook. The food was very good and our server Sabrina did a great job! Thanks for your participation!
